Product information for New Care Vetzuren Balans: Application of New Care Vetzuren Balans: New Care Fatty Acid Balance is a combination of black cumin oil, blackcurrant oil, and algae oil. Together, this combination of oils provides a good dose of at least 100 mg of omega-3 (20%), 200 mg of omega-6 (40%), and 60 mg of omega-9 (12%) fatty acids per capsule. Black cumin (Nigella sativa or Black cumin seed) is an annual herb with light blue flowers and feathery leaves. It originated in Egypt and is known as Ketzah in the Old Testament. In Arabic, it is called "Habat et Baraka," or "The Seed of Blessing." A high-quality oil is extracted from the seeds by cold pressing. This oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, including oleic acid (omega-9). In the 18th century, blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum) was described as "the shrub of a thousand virtues." The oil contains polyunsaturated fatty acids, including the omega-6 fatty acid GLA.
