Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid naturally produced in the intestines during the fermentation of dietary fiber. TriButyric contains ButryaGen™, which consists of tributyrin: three molecules of butyrate bonded to glycerol. After enzyme cleavage in the gastrointestinal tract, this quickly and easily yields three molecules of butyrate.
